POSH Graffiti Painted Black Wooden Open Crown Symbol
This ethically made, black wooden wall open crown symbol is hand carved from wood and has a traditional hand painted wood finish. The top side has a black finish and the wooden symbol is bevelled but the back is flat and the surface is slightly rough. They are surprisingly light and easy to attach to a wall using good quality adhesive pads, Velcro tape or suitable adhesive. They can be also be secured with nails using a similar method to hanging a China plate or they look good just leaning up against a wall. The symbols can be used to great effect on a gallery wall. The open crown symbol is also free standing but we recommend you secure it with a small piece of sticky tack to prevent it from falling over.
We supply the full alphabet, plus numbers and symbols, in UP TO 4 sizes, so you can choose which sizes suits your space and really personalise your message or gift. They make smart painted wooden monograms and personalised gifts and look great on a feature wall. They have also been used successfully for exterior signage but need to be given an extra coat of waterproof varnish, front and back, before fixing.
The POSH Graffiti Old English symbol style is an original design by Emily Readett-Bayley based on the medieval Caslon Old Face font and traditional English shop front signage. Each wooden open crown symbol is unique as our symbols are handmade by artisan woodcarvers in Bali with whom we have worked for over 25 years. Once the wall symbol woodcarving is complete and the paint is dry, the symbols are packed in a special POSH Graffiti box to protect them and they are posted to the customer in the same box to avoid wasteful double packing. No plastic is used. They are designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
